Ott Tanak leads the Acropolis Rally Greece following a challenging Friday in extreme temperatures, testing the World Rally Championship crews to their limits. With consistent speed, Tanak finished the day’s rough gravel stages with a 3.0s lead over Hyundai teammate Adrien Fourmaux, with Sebastien Ogier in third. The high temperatures and rough stages caused punctures and tire damage for most Rally1 drivers. Tanak, despite facing some issues, managed to snatch the lead from Ogier after a competitive battle. Fourmaux’s smart strategy and avoidance of punctures allowed him to climb to second place as Ogier dropped to third. Championship leader Elfyn Evans overcame challenging road conditions and mechanical issues to secure fourth place, benefitting from troubles faced by his competitors. The tough conditions of the Acropolis Rally tested the skills and resilience of the drivers, promising an exciting competition ahead.
